Today, we’re excited to announce a new partnership with ride-hailing app Uber which will provide its partner-drivers access to pension and ISA products for the first time in the UK.
With the rise of the sharing economy and flexible working, many people do not have access to benefits traditionally provided through employment including services and providers that can help them plan, save and invest for retirement. Uber is working to address this issue, and by teaming up with us we’re connecting its partner-drivers with expert financial advice.
The partnership coincides with the launch of a new pension product, the self invested pension plan (SIPP) will launch in the next few months. This will help partner-drivers plan ahead for their retirement.
Jo Bertram, Regional General Manager of Uber in the UK, said: “We’ve heard from many of our partner-drivers that they want to save for the future. That’s why we’re really pleased to be partnering with Moneyfarm, who will soon offer Uber partners discounted products from ISAs to pensions, along with improved access to financial education.”
Giovanni Daprà CEO and co-founder of Moneyfarm, commented: “We are delighted to partner with Uber, and look forward to providing its partner-drivers in the UK expert financial advice through our ISA and pension products.”
This partnership forms part of a set of initiatives that Uber will be offering their drivers. Uber will be increasing support on and off the road for their partner drivers.
